Organisée à la veille de la date, cette intervention via l'Internet de Ghiwa Sayegh, rédactrice en chef de la revue Kohl vivant à Beyrouth, introduit et contextualise le plus récent numéro de la revue intitulé Feminists Revolutionnaries – الثائرات النسويات (Révolutionnaires féministes), un numéro imprévu à l'origine, né de la nécessité d'une réflexion collective et d'un échange dans ce qui a été appelé l'hiver des peuples en référence au printemps des peuples de 2011, au delà des frontières et depuis des points de vues des mouvements féministes figurant parmi les mouvements les plus massifs de ces dernières années et qui y ont participé.
L'intervention et l'échange qui la suit sont conduits en anglais, arabe et français suivant les locuteur-trice-s.
Le numéro 5 de la revue Kohl Feminists Revolutionnaries – الثائرات النسويات (Révolutionnaires féministes) est en libre accès sur internet. Il fait l'objet d'un appel à textes continu pour des publications additionnelles en ligne en plus des textes qui ont constitués la version papier.

لأن عملنا في كحل في انتاج المعرفة النسوية لا ينفصل عن ممارسة نسويتنا على أرض الثورة، نحن نشارك في الثورة الشعبية التي يشهدها لبنان حاضرا وفي الأسابيع الأخيرة. نلتزم في كحل بالإضراب المفتوح ونشكر رفاقنا المساندين ورفيقاتنا الداعمات لقرارنا هذا وندعو الآخرين والأخريات الى تلبية دعوة الشارع العامة
نتوجه بالدعم الى مجموعات العمال والعاملات والموظفين/ات والطلاب والأساتذة، والى الأفراد، من شمال البلد الى جنوبه، التي ما دأبت مناهضة السلطة من اليوم الأول- لولا استمرارها لما سقطت شرعية السلطة ورموزها وأبواقها وكهنتها. نلتزم بالتعاون مع شركائنا وشريكاتنا، خاصّة من هنّ/م في الحركة النسوية واليسارية. نهجنا السياسي منذ البداية يتماشى مع مطالب خطاب الشارع الثوري التي نعيشها. سنواصل عملنا السياسي والأرشيفي مع الحركة النسوية واليسارية
ونعلن عن فتح منصات كحل في هذه الفترة دعوة الى الراغبات/ين في الكتابة عن الثورة والتنظيم النسوي أو مشاركة ما نشر عن هذه المواضيع

Kohl’s Position Statement
Kohl’s work in feminist knowledge archiving and creation is inseparable from our feminist praxis on the ground. We consider ourselves to be part and parcel of the popular revolution that has been unfolding in Lebanon in the last weeks. At Kohl, we are committed to the open strike and thank our allies for supporting our decision. We invite others to heed the people’s call to strike.
We extend our support to the groups of workers, students, and educators in the whole geography of Lebanon, and salute their resistance to authority since day one. With their persistence, the symbols of the regime have fallen and its legitimacy has been discontinued. Kohl’s political ethos was historically in line with the demands of the revolutionary street discourse. We are committed to collaborating with our accomplices, especially those in the feminist and leftist movements, and to pursuing our political and archival work.
We also announce Kohl to be an open platform during revolutionary times. We, therefore, invite those wishing to reflect and write about feminist organizing and the revolution to do so or to share with us other archival material they would like to see disseminated.
Finally, we appreciate the patience of our readers and collaborators and thank them for their solidarity with us in our adherence to the strike.
